Sulfuric Acid Pickling Tanks
One of the most widely used pickling chemicals in metal treatment. Our sulfuric acid tanks feature custom carbon steel construction with rubber linings formulated for concentrated acid applications, corrosion-resistant designs that limit hydrogen gas buildup, ventilation to manage temperature and pressure, and secondary containment that complies with NFPA 30.
Hydrochloric Acid Pickling Tanks
Built to handle HCl's corrosivity and vapor generation, with specialized rubber linings proven against HCl at various concentrations, enhanced ventilation, and premium components including PVC fittings, Hastelloy-C bolts, and Viton® gaskets.
Abrasion-Resistant Pickling Systems

The process
Understanding the Pickling Process
Pickling removes rust, scale, and other surface impurities from metal using an acid-based pickle liquor — a common step in steel processing. The typical process:
- Pre-cleaning to remove oils, dirt, and loose contaminants
- Acid treatment in a properly formulated tank
- Rinsing to remove all acid residue
- Neutralization
- Drying to prevent flash rusting
